📌 Important Information – Please Read Before Placing a Deposit

We’re excited to announce that our 2025 Standard Emu Chick waitlist is now open! Hatchings are expected between mid-April to late May.

💰 Pricing & Deposit Details

• Price per Standard Emu Chick: $250

• Deposit: $50 per chick (optional but secures priority placement)

Deposits are NOT required, but they do guarantee your priority in the selection process. If you prefer not to place a deposit, you’re welcome to check with us after mid-April to see if chicks are still available.

🧬 Sexing Process & Pickup Timeline

• After hatching, chicks undergo DNA sexing, which can take up to 2 weeks.

• Once sexing results are in, we will contact waitlist members in order of deposit placement to schedule a pickup.

• Pickup must be scheduled within one month (best transport age is around 4 weeks old).

🔄 Refund & No-Show Policy

• Deposits are non-refundable in case of a no-show.

• If we cannot provide a chick or do not have the gender you requested, your deposit will be refunded.

• The remaining $200 per chick is due at pickup.

🚗 How to Prepare for Chick Pickup

To ensure a smooth and safe transition for your emu chick, please bring:

✅ A Large Pet Porter (or similar-sized carrier) with a non-slip mat or rag inside.

✅ Fresh greens (spinach, lettuce, or kale) – No need for food or water, as stress may prevent eating.

✅ Expect your chick to peep during the entire trip home – this is normal!
